“Sabbath XI” was hand-set in Garamond type and printed on a 1920 antique Chandler & Price printing press. Two hundred fifty copies were printed on Somerset paper, numbered, and signed by the author and illustrator.
Wendell Berry is an author, environmental activist, and farmer. He is the author of works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors. He lives and works with his wife, Tanya Berry, on their farm in Port Royal, Kentucky.
Mary Azarian is a woodcut artist, book illustrator, Caldecott medalist and gardener. She lives on a small hill farm in Vermont.
